Dwight has good hands at the point of attack and an aggressive overall defensive tackle prospect. What he lacks in size, the 2023 defensive tackle more than makes up for from energy during each play. Dwight’s motor is a difference maker for his team’s run defense. He pops out his stance quickly. That first step gives Dwight a huge advantage getting into the backfield. We really like his activity, he shows excellent body control while engaged. Getting quicker laterally, working on hip flexibility, becoming faster out his stance and of course gaining more weight are areas to focus on this offseason. We like Dwight a lot though. He is a pure football player whose impact is impressive against the run and the pass. He’s a very strong player too, showing an impressive squat and bench numbers. Over the last few years Dwight has done a great job of improving his power clean from 240 lbs. to now 330 lbs. That’s some considerable gains, and that improvement in flexibility and explosiveness in the hips is shown in his early senior film..
