Diggs has packed on the weight a great bit over the last year adding 20 lbs. to his frame and a nice 75 lbs. increase in almost all three lifts. Doesn’t have outstanding top end speed, but what does catch our eyes is how quick he reacts at the line of scrimmage. Diggs gets foot in the turf and makes sharps cuts with little lost of speed. He definitely uses his lower center of gravity to beat the defender down low and getting extra yards after contact. He’s very comfortable running between the tackles and shows solid patience too. Improve top end speed will be a difficult task, but continuing to improve his top end acceleration and agility will definitely boost his recruitment. Diggs is a solid spread running back who very comfortable playing a pistol/shotgun type offense. He only played 4 games his junior year. He’s a solid back for sure who is going into his 3rd year of varsity experience. His natural running instincts will certainly grab the attention of some schools, plus his great academics will grab a lot of D1 and D2 interest throughout his recruitment.
