Stone is a long 2020 defensive end that just transferred over to Jenkins right before his junior season. He has long arms, and that really stands out right away is the amount of leverage he gets while engaged. Stone is quick getting off his blocks too, and his lateral quickness when coupled with his length will catch the eye of plenty of FBS squads. He doesn’t have outstanding speed, but his motor getting after the QB is a quality you look for in a pass-rusher, and with more time in the weight room he should shave off his speed times considerably. He was making the transition of play more as as a linebacker from his sophomore year. Like we were expecting, Stone had a strong junior year. He’s packing on weight pretty quickly, and already in his 240’s, which is up 20 lbs from last year this time. Stone is filling out his frame exceedingly well, better than even expected. He’s got all the upside to be an all-conference defensive end at the next level. His combination of motor, athleticism and strong academics will make him a coveted recruit in 2020.
