Weynand has an awesome frame and could easily grow into a SAM at the next level. I like his general foot speed considering his frame. He has light feet, which you see both as a running back or at linebacker when he is cutting through the trenches. He’s a bull of a runner though. Pad level is okay, but shows good leg drive going through contact. Weynand should end up around 240 at the next level. The 2020 recruit has maintained about the same weight the last few years, putting on about 10-15 lbs – he was already pretty big for his whole age group. Weynand has improved all around as an athlete though when watching his film and we have now updated his weight lifting numbers to the fall of 2019, there is definitely good progress in that respect. He really carried the football a lot as a junior/senior, I could see the military schools being all over him as a b-back. Personally, still really big on his prowess as a defender. Tackling form is solid, needs to drop his hips more and really explode, and cut down on arm tackles, but he has the frame and mindset to get the job done. Some schools might like Weynand as an h-back, he had a very good season rushing the football his senior year for a team that went 9-1 in the regular season. Had over 90 tackles on defense too, one of the better two-way players in 4-A this season, and very tough in how he plays the game.
