Wilson has been one of the best defenders in his area the last few years. His anticipation and quickness to the football definitely makes a difference. He has run multiple 4.5-4.6 40 times now at various camps. Covers a lot of ground, definitely ideal against the spread offense. The 2021 recruit looks solid in coverage, he can explode to the football when in a zone. Flows to the football, nice in pursuit. Tackling can a little too high, but gathers so much momentum that ball carrier really cannot do much. Needs to be more consistent with keeping his pads parallel to the LOS, but shows quick attentive feet. Keeps hips on a swivel for his frame, and definitely like his potential to stop the pass in man and zone coverage.
