Lakeside senior quarterback Nick Patterson committed to Reinhardt University yesterday.
He announce via Twitter: Very glad to say after much thought I have decided to commit to Reinhardt University!! Go Eagles!!
The athletic new Reinhardt commit displays a lot of potential at quarterback. He has good measurements at 6′ 175-pound, runs a 4.62, and shows a nice touch in intermediate passes. He steps up in the pocket with confidence and feels pressure naturally.
Patterson is a great decision maker, who is more than capable of learning a new offense. He reads his keys well on an option play and is deceptive with his mesh.
Reinhardt continues to land commitments from players across the state of Georgia. They are making a terrific final push in their recruiting class and landing some true sleepers like Patterson.

From his very first year when his Father (Scott) and I coached him, I had the offense, and Nick was a natural, he was so quick to learn the plays as well as put the other players where they belonged. I remember giving his arm pad with the plays on it, and he never had to look at it, he took it upon his self to memorize them. It was great, especially if we did a no huddle. His Father did not only help coach, we were personal friends, and I understood his desire to see Nick continue on, so Scott (Father) did absolutely Everything he could to give him every oppurtunity available as well as his own time. There is nothing more heart warming and satisfying than seeing your Son living a Dream, especially along side your own Father. Nick, you will do well, it’s a Gift that only few have young man, and God Blessed you with it. I’m so Proud of not only how you are on the field, but as well off the field. Congratulations Nick, you Earned every bit of it young man!
