Mill Creek Has the King of Kickers in Georgia

Mill Creek’s Brenton King has to be the best kicker in the state Georgia. Through four games, the Peach State senior has 22 touchbacks and six field goals.

No field goal was more impressive, though, than the bomb he kicked last weekend against Archer. King launched a 56-yarder into the night and the ball sailed through the uprights for what has to be the longest field goal so far in this young season. The senior also booted the ball consistently deep into the back of the end zone, keeping the ball away from Archer’s dangerous return man Tyler Ranel.

When it comes to King’s recruitment, the senior said that he has mostly heard from UGA and Louisville. The Mill Creek student-athlete attributes a lot of his progress on the field to his training with Chris Sailer. The kicking guru also does rankings, and according to Sailer, King is the No. 28 kicker in the country and No. 1 in the state of Georgia.

Mill Creek is the No. 2-ranked team in the state of Georgia and has been pounding traditional powers left and right. This season it looks like the Hawks are going to make another deep playoff push, and King will be relied on heavily to make more clutch kicks if they want to win their first state championship.
