Michigan Offers Irvin: New Leader for Class of ’18 Lineman

Jalil Irvin, a Stephenson offensive guard, was offered by Michigan last night. Michigan makes offer No. 3 for Irvin, who also holds offers from Tulane and Illinois.

Earlier today Irvin let The Wolverine Daily know about his new favorite. “I think Michigan is a great program historically and on a come up, I love everything about them and I’m from Michigan, so getting an offer means a lot.” He continued, “As of right now, I’d have to say Michigan is currently my leader.”

Recruit Georgia has been high on the rising junior since we made his profile back in the winter.  We wrote a few months back, “Irvin is an impressive looking young offensive guard. He has good hip bend and really explodes out of his stance. He needs to continue to improve in the weight room but you can see the apparent FBS potential.”

The Class of ’18 offensive guard also announced recently on Twitter that he was invited to the Rivals 250 Underclassmen Challenge.

The Michigan offer is just the beginning for the talented offensive guard. Coach Jim Harbaugh has an eye for offensive line talent (just go look at the players he has coached in the NFL/Stanford), so we think this current offer flurry will turn into a full-on blizzard.
