Mercer 1st Offer for Campbell

McIntosh Co. Academy cornerback Michael Campbell received big news today when Mercer offered him at their camp, making the Bears his very first college offer. The 2018 student-athlete has been setting 3rd party camps on fire this offseason, but now that he can finally run in front of college coaches, the interest has really begun.

Today, Campbell ran a 4.40 time on the dot, and believe it or not, that was slowed down due fatigue from a basketball tournament he played the day before. The explosive athlete said that Army, Marshall, Purdue and Liberty also showed a ton of interest in him at the mega camp.

Campbell has freaky athleticism that is some of the best we have seen in the state of Georgia from a measurement point of view. He makes some really difficult high-pointed interceptions, where he times his jump perfectly, and then it’s really no contest when you consider his 41″ vertical, which was verified at the Rivals camp this spring.

The uber-athletic rising senior has upcoming visits to Georgia Southern on Saturday, Valdosta State’s mega camp on Wednesday, and has a few more planned later on this summer. The upside for the rising south Georgia product is ridiculous, so we expect increasing interest from FBS and FCS schools a-like as we enter summer camp season. View Campbell’s profile HERE.
