Malik Clark Is a Louisville Cardinal

Malik Clark, a Baldwin High School defensive end, committed to Louisville this afternoon. The 6’4″, 235-pound prospect tweeted out his official commitment.

Clark committed just one day after visiting the Louisville campus, where he toured the facilities and met with the coaching staff. The Cards had to beat out Middle Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Murray State and FAMU for his services.

The athletic defensive end prospect has a big frame and should be able to pack on an additional 30 pounds to become a strong-side defensive end at the next level. He uses his hands excellently and gets outstanding leverage on the opposing offensive lineman, making him a terror out on the edge. He is also a sound tackler (104 solo tackles the last two seasons) who securely wraps up the ball-carrier on a consistent basis.

Clark is a solid pickup, and big ups to the Louisville coaching staff scouting the state of Georgia and finding a gem in Milledgeville. He is the 14th commitment for Louisville in the Class of 2017 and the third player from Georgia.

This guy is very underrated! I’m happy to see that they are not only devoted to big-named schools. Malik’s size paired with his swiftness is phenomenal. Good looking out Louisville!
