Lyn-J Dixon is a Vol

Lyn-J Dixon, the #1 all-purpose back in Georgia, made a big decision today committing to Tennessee. The speedy running back from Taylor County chose the Vols over offers from almost every school across the country.

He announced his top 12 exactly one month ago today, which included: Virginia Tech, Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida, Oregon State, Michigan State, Texas, Louisville, Notre Dame, Clemson, Auburn, and of course, Tennessee. Earlier this week, he tweeted about making a decision on Saturday, and true to his word he made if official when he tweeted:

Dixon is a great young athlete, that has the speed to burn defenders even from the SEC. The US Army All-American selection has the athletic skill-set to make momentum-shifting plays that can alter the outcome of a game. His balance and vision is some of the best we have seen in Georgia over the last few years, and he just tears up Class A defenses in Georgia.

Heading into his senior year, he will look to get Taylor County back into the playoffs, and to make an even deeper run. We expect Dixon to amount over 2000 all-purpose yards next season, and to easily walk away with All-State honors once again.

Dixon is the 13th commit for the Vols in the 2018 recruiting cycle. He joins fellow Georgia recruit Jatavious Harris from Baldwin High School. Both players are among the best athletes in the state of Georgia, and have been using Recruit Georgia since August of 2016.
