Lovelace Offered First By Miami of Ohio

North Gwinnett running back Ryan Lovelace was offered by Miami of Ohio last night. Lovelace, a rising senior next fall, is expected to get the bulk of the carries at North Gwinnett after the graduation of Kameron Pickett.

Miami of Ohio is the first college to offer the class of ’17 running back, who has legit breakaway speed. His short yardage acceleration is very impressive. When Lovelace sees an opening in the line of scrimmage, he squares his pads upfield and turns on the jets.

Lovelace will add a different element to North Gwinnett’s backfield this fall, and we expect him to be one of the surprises in Gwinnett County at running back. The compact running back stands 5’9″ and weighs 190 pounds, which makes him hard to tackle on initial contact.

We watched him live against Norcross (one of the better defenses last year in Georgia) and was impressed with his running instincts he displayed. If the rising senior continues to develop his patience reading his blocks, there is no question he will have a big fall this upcoming season.

The RedHawks might be the first school to offer Lovelace, but we expect him to perform excellently in summer camps, which should attract all kinds of FBS programs.
