Marietta’s passing attack has emerged this season as one of the best in Georgia and has defenses on their heels. A lot has been made of freshman sensation Harrison Bailey, who is basically destroying every one of Eric Zeir’s school passing records, but perhaps an even more incredible development for the Cobb county school is the emergence of sophomore receiver Ramel Keyton.

Ramel KeytonThe exciting receiver the for the Blue Devils is the current leader in the state of Georgia with 786 yards, while also tallying 41 catches, and 6 touchdowns. Keyton is a big play threat that does a great job of beating his man off the line of scrimmage.

He is averaging a whopping 19.2 yards per reception, making him one of the most explosive offensive weapons in the state. At 6’2″, and 180 pounds, Keyton will be on FBS team’s radar soon enough. He is a natural at adjusting to the pass and has a fluid long running stride which gets him considerable separation.

His Marietta squad is 4-3, but have won three games out of the last four. Their only loss came from a narrow 21-14 defeat to top ranked Lassiter, where the Trojans scored 14 points in the 4th quarter. The Blue Devils are one of the hottest teams in the state of Georgia and the Bailey to Keyton connection is comparable to any receiver/quarterback combo in Georgia.
