Hubbard Commits to Colorado State

Woodward Academy cornerback Jeffrey Hubbard committed to Colorado State earlier today. The ballhawking cornerback announced his commitment on Twitter:

Hubbard joins teammate and quarterback prospect Ryan Glover as Rampage ’17 commitments. The Class of ’17 cornerback’s commitment comes right off the heels of his June 21st visit to Colorado State, where he toured the campus and caught a glimpse of the beautiful natural scenery.

Colorado State offered on April 27th and beat a number of schools, including Power 5 schools Boston College, Purdue and Kansas State to go along with a number of mid-major FBS offers.

Hubbard (5’10”, 180) is a speedy cover cornerback who anticipates the pass naturally. He has outstanding acceleration, which gives him elite breaks to defend the pass. Hubbard’s lightning-quick feet make for exciting plays out in open space, especially on punt or interception returns.

His commitment gives Colorado State eight commitments for the Class of ’17 and its second from the state of Georgia. As mentioned earlier, he will be joining teammate Ryan Glover, who committed to the Rams on July 1st.
