Felix Harper Verbally Commits to Army

Creekside starting QB Felix Harper contacted us on Twitter last night to say that he had committed to the Army Black Knights.

He announced on Twitter, “In recreation football I was an Old National Purple Knight and now I would like to further my academic and football collegiate career as a Black Knight!”

“I want to thank all the colleges and universities for even considering me to play football at their school.”

He went on to thank everyone who had helped him throughout the recruiting process, “I want to thank my family, friends, teammates and coaches for all their support!”

Harper is a very athletic dual-threat quarterback who is a perfect fit in Army’s spread option attack. He has very quick feet and throws a consistently nice deep ball.

He impressed at Army’s camp a month ago, winning QB MVP, and is Army’s top QB prospect. This is a big pickup for Coach Monken and his young Black Knight program.

Look for Jeff Monken to continue dipping down south into Georgia with his long standing history in the state. He was both the A-Backs and Head Coach at Georgia Southern and the A-Backs Coach at Georgia Tech.
