Elon Rocks the Kaz, Lands Bojnordi

This weekend Kasra Bojnordi, a gritty offensive lineman from Cambridge high school, decided to end his recruitment, and commit to the Elon Phoenix. The 2019 student-athlete has been a starter for Cambridge high school since his sophomore year, and for the last few seasons he has been a stalwart for his team.

Finishing up his recruitment has been a relief for Bojnordi, “It’s an awesome feeling to be through, such a stressful process,” he said. “The education aspect and the good quality football was a no brainer with Elon. Coach Wrobo is a really good dude!”

Bojnordi paved the way for a +1000 yard rusher his sophomore year, and has always shown a tough work ethic where he grinds down his opponent with his outstanding combination of motor and fundamentals. He chose Elon over Arkansas State, Eastern Kentucky, Mercer, Charlotte, William & Mary, and several other FCS schools to boot. Bojnordi was ranked in our Elite 300 in the state of Georgia, and widely considered one of the better offensive lineman in the state of Georgia.

The 2019 offensive lineman made his commitment official when he posted this short note on Twitter:

For Elon, Bojnordi is the first commit from the Peach State so far, but as we have seen in past years, the Phoenix will look to close out with additional 3-4 more commits. With the powerful 6’3″ 300 lb. lineman’s commitment, Elon is getting a player who brings it each play for his team, and has a strong fundamental base to work with. His versatility to swing across the line of scrimmage should really help with any offensive line’s depth.

Heading into his final high school season, Bojnordi shared his thoughts, “I want my senior year to be an awesome final ride with my boys and just enjoy the game.” Cambridge is looking to bounce back this year, and with leaders like Ridge Polk, Kasra Bojnordi and the rest of the seniors leading the way, they look to be a tough squad to deal with for the 2018 season.
