EJ Thomas is K-State Bound

Carver-Atlanta defensive back Eddie “EJ” Thomas announced earlier today his commitment to Kansas State. The 2018 defensive back made it official when he Tweeted tonight:

Thomas has been signed up for our service for almost a year now, and over that time we saw his recruitment go from being a relative unknown, into a legit FBS recruit with almost double-digit offers.  Kansas State was the first school to offer Thomas back on May 5th, and that offer presented by the Kansas State staff made a major impact on his decision making. He also held offers from Western Kentucky, Campbell, Western Carolina, Mercer, App State, Troy, UT-Chattanooga & Ball State.

Just this weekend Thomas took a visit to Manhattan, Kansas where he got to see the campus up close. On the visit he toured the facilities, and met the coaching staff, including a special one on one talk with legendary Wildcat coach Bill Snyder.

Two words that describe the new Kansas State commit is “fast” and “physical.” At 6’1″, Thomas has good length to play almost any wide receiver, and he is comfortable in both zone and man defense. No doubt, he needs to add more weight, but that does not stop him from going into each tackle attempt looking to de-cleat his opponent.

Overall, Kansas State just received a commitment from a player that could end up at cornerback or free safety; to go along with an extremely competitive mindset that is an absolute necessity at defensive back. EJ Thomas is the 5th commit for Kansas State in the class of 2018 and the first player from the state of Georgia.
