I realize it’s tough to put too many kids from a single team for a preseason All State team but Blessed Trinity has TWO great running backs with over 1,300 yards each last year. Steele Chambers (Ohio State Commit) had 199 attempts, 1,309 yards (6.6 yds per carry), and 23 TDs and Elijah Green (2020, UNC and South Carolina offers) had 218 attempts, 1,317 yards (6 yds per carry), and 10 TDs.

Based on MaxPreps, or most casual observers, BT had the toughest strength of schedule in 4A going against the State Runner up twice, 2 Semi Finalist (St Pius and Mary Persons), last years defending state champion (Cartersville), last years state runner up (Thomson), McCallie (TN) who was #3 in the entire state of Tennessee, Marietta and Mary Persons. Figured I would post to get the conversation started.

    1. Absolutely, Chambers and Green are one of the best duos in the state of Georgia (really like Carson Harof’s game too), and it’s really impressive the numbers they put up when you consider Jake Smith threw for over 2000 yards too. The running backs selected above all went for around 2000 all-purpose yards and produced more in terms of scoring. No doubt BT had the toughest road possible going through four teams that I had ranked in the top 5 prior to the playoffs. BT ended up with 5 players on the preseason team, which is the most of any team in the classification.
