One of the most coveted cornerbacks from the class of 2018, Christian Tutt, has quite the decision ahead of him. He has already been offered by 20 schools and has interest from countless others.
Tutt attends Thomson High School in the city that shares the same name. Most players can only dream of being offered by this many schools – especially after only one season of varsity football.
The rising sophomore has had a busy summer, visiting big-time schools and being swooned over by some of the of the biggest names in college football.
“Schools that stood out (for me) were Oregon, Texas A&M, Auburn and Alabama,” said Tutt when asked about which visits in particular have caught his eye.
“(The) Oregon trip gets a ‘wow’. Southern California and UCLA were great; I camped at USC and won MVP for Defense.”
Tutt has also visited Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Ga. Southern, Ga. Tech, NC State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and TCU. A quick glance at his Twitter profile confirms that Tutt is not taking this important decision lightly.
He is certainly doing his due diligence, visiting prestigious campuses and meeting with some notable coaches.
When asked about who his favorite coaches are that he has met thus far, he mentioned, “Nick Saban, Richt, Cutcliff was awesome and Charlie Strong.”
Tutt measures 5-foot-11 and weighs in at 179 lbs. His 4.18 shuttle time and near 33″ vertical, according to his Hudl profile, are respectable in their own right as well.
“I don’t have a leader or a top 10” continued Tutt, “I’m wide open (to all offers) and don’t mind playing on the west coast and it doesn’t matter where I play.”
We will continue to monitor Tutt’s bright future as he continues to raise eyebrows across the nation.
