Sophomore QB Antwann Hill Jr. is currently the #2 passer in the state of Georgia after his tremendous 414-yard performance and 4 touchdowns through the air in last week’s 57-56 victory over Perry. The sophomore signal-caller’s efficiency has sky-rocketed this year and currently touts a 115 QBR and 72% completion percentage.
The early season start is a marked improvement over last year and Hill is close to equalling last year’s offensive output already. The sophomore talked about the differences from this year to last.
“What I’ve done is really just worked my tail off to show people I’m not a joke and we got a whole new coaching staff that puts me in the position to succeed at all cost,” Hill said.
Hill just recently announced on Twitter that he would be attending Florida’s game against Utah this upcoming Saturday. As of now, he has no other visits planned.
“I have to get with my dad and trainer about more college visits but there will be more soon,” he said.
Hill has certainly improved from an efficiency standpoint from last season, but the talent has always been evident. The 6’5″ QB has elite arm talent and is capable of ripping off a pass with some of the highest velocity you can find in the state of Georgia in recent memory.
For this season, Hill has outlined his goals both individually and for his team too.
“My goals are to have +3000 passing yards and +30 touchdowns and win region and win the state title with my team.”
Colleges are hot in pursuit for Hill who holds offers from double-digit programs including Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and the aforementioned Florida among other programs. He is sure to see an uptick in interest starting next month, and we suspect that his recruitment will start to heat up this fall with national attention from coaches and media alike.
