Dinges Excels On & Off The Field

Jack Dinges has to be one of the smartest gridiron stars in the state. The Marist rising senior QB was the first player in our database, which is now at 900 athletes, to score a perfect 36 on the ACT. He also boasts an amazing 4.4 GPA and a 2360 on the SAT.

Making high scores off the field is not the only thing Dinges has achieved this offseason. He showed off his quicks, running a 4.24 shuttle time at the Nike ATL Regional.

DingesDinges (6’2″, 193) spoke about where he plans to camp this summer.

“I’m still finalizing my summer schedule but I will be heading up to the northeast to go to some Ivy League camps, most likely Princeton, Penn, Harvard, Yale, and/or Columbia. And then I will also be at the Duke QB camp and possibly the Georgia Tech camp. In addition, I am going to the Georgia Select camp in early June.”

Dinges is a tough runner and has quick feet. The junior throws the ball well under pressure and has solid footwork in the pocket. He sets his feet quickly and throws under a solid base.

Playing in the triple option, he squares his shoulder pads quickly upfield and doesn’t dance much, getting as many yards as he can.

This offseason he has worked rigorously on his game.

“I’ve been training hard in the weight room and working on my speed. I also throw several times a week with both my receivers and with my QB coach, Chris Hixson from The Passing Academy.”

Currently, Ivy League schools have shown heavy interest as well as FCS schools. Dinges played in the Elite Junior Classic last December.
