What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Westerfield is among the biggest offensive linemen in the class of ’27 here in the state. The powerfully built blocker has wide shoulders, a strong stance that allows him to anchor defenders and drive them out of the play. He does a good job of sliding his feet, patiently reading the defensive rush, helping with combo blocks when the opportunity presents itself. Westerfield has a lot of potential to be a P4 football player. He has excellent shuttle times, a good power clean considering his height and 30″ vertical. All great numbers for an OT prospect his age, but we would like to see him continue to work on his pad level, which can be tough at his height, working on coming out of his stance with more explosion while run blocking. There is a strong fundamental base, keeps a flat back, and shows good hip bend. Given his almost 6’7″ frame and 300 lbs, plus his proficiency as a pass blocker, you can see why so many FBS programs have pursued the talented high-upside offensive tackle.
