Reese was a two-way standout at Hephzibah, playing both WR and FS. He is a no doubt P4 caliber athlete. Straight from watching film, that is apparent, but then you consider some of the explosive stuff he has shown this offseason, including a 10.83 100m time, and you have to be excited. Reese closes the gap, getting to the line of scrimmage taking really solid pursuit angles. His acceleration to the ball carrier is impressive. Reese does a nice job of tracking the football, his long running stride eats up yardage in space. Keeps after the football. Does good job of reading the ball carrier and setting up his tackle attempt. Well coached in that respect, but can rely on arm tackling too much at times. Right now, Reese is a prototypical SS prospect, but considering his frame, you have anticipate Reese to get around 220 lbs at the next level, probably even more. In fact, his weight lifting numbers show a lot of potential in that respect, and it’s hard not to see Reese filling out his frame, which will give him a ton of versatility. He can play in space, drop back in coverage or use his elite acceleration to get into the backfield and cause havoc. Absolutely love his potential to bust up screen passes. Reese has 20 FBS offers, a handful from P4 programs for now, but it seems like this upcoming May and June period could push them over the edge.
