What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

You can’t teach size, and my 6’4” 310 frame, coupled with my strength, movement and overall fluidity make me stand out as a future collegiate athlete.

Villarouel was a consistent nominee for our Weekly OL ‘Bully Squad’ feature during the football season, so we are very familiar with his film. The North Forsyth offensive lineman is a compact athlete with sticky hands while engaged. Villarouel has good body control and shows good core strength while blocking. Keeps a flat back, good lumbar strength while blocking. Technically sound with good hand placement. The versatility of Vallarouel is perhaps his most enticing aspect to the North Forsyth blocker. He plays both offensive tackle and center in high school, and it doesn’t take much imagination to see his frame and film translate over to offensive guard either. He shows good footwork while pass blocking; a quick kick-step and overall like how he slides his feet with the defender. He does need to be quicker, but have to like how he has developed over the last year – improving his squat by over 100 lbs. and getting his power clean up to nearly 300 lbs. You have to like the progression he has made and couple that with his great academics, and you can see why so many D1 programs have issued an offer. Going into his senior year, Villarouel has a good chance of making first team All-State if he continues this current progress arc.
