Hood is another strong defender from last year’s state championship team at Harrison. You want to talk about a legit punch with his hands, Hood can stagger an OL with how strong he is at the point of attack. He definitely has some legit strength, and above average pass-rush moves. He does a nice job moving laterally to the football and he does a good job of controlling the gaps on plays off tackle. Hood has okay quickness, but needs to get lighter in the feet and could stand to get quicker of out of his stance. Hood projects as a SDE at the next level, and I would suspect him getting close to 270 lbs. in college. Couple that with his strong fundamentals, and I think D1 programs will certainly be interested.
