10 Offers for Sligh

Nicholas Sligh out of Clarke Central HS was offered by Navy today, making the Midshipmen his 10th offer so far. His recruitment has been picking up the last few months, and with the evaluation period fully underway, we expect more colleges to express interest in the road grading center.

The 2018 prospect has all the accolades of a major college football recruit. He was one of the top centers in the state last year for Clarke Central, earning a spot in the Rising Seniors All-Star game. Sligh was also recognized as first team All-Region and is currently rated the #1 center in the state of Georgia.

The college recruiting process is very competitive, so we asked Sligh what it felt like to hold on to double-digit offers in May. “It feels great! It’s kind of hard to believe,” Sligh exclaimed. “I’m just so fortunate to have the opportunities that I do, and it’s such a blessing to be in the position that I am in.”

Academically speaking, Sligh is one of brightest players to have signed up for a profile in our database. He recently scored a 32 on the ACT and has an astronomical 4.4 GPA. To no surprise strong academic schools like Army, Cornell, Dartmouth and Air Force have joined Navy in their pursuit for the student-athlete.

His smash-mouth style of play is perfect for a team that favors running the football. Also, it says a lot about his quickness off the ball if options teams are offering him, especially when you consider his 6’3″ 310-pound frame. Sligh is strong as an ox, and has recently maxed his squat out to 545 pounds and bench to 375 pounds.

Right now, Sligh’s only FBS offers are from all three Military Academy schools, but that should change as we edge closer to the summer camp season. Click HERE to visit Nick Sligh’s profile.
