Down below you will find our Week 9 rankings. The numbers that are in parenthesis are the team’s ranking from the week prior. The “Out” section are teams no longer in the top 10. The “Bubble” section are teams on the cusp of the top 10, which may include teams that are just recently out.
Mover and shakers this week in our rankings are at a minimum – granted a lot of teams were on bye’s last week. Douglas County drops out of Class 6-A after losing to Mays 35-3. Eagle’s Landing continues their up and down season losing to Ola 31-13. Senior QB Cameron Lewis was sidelined and wide receiver Emanuel Stores did his best impression. Heading into this week it doesn’t look much better as they play #3 Stockbridge. The last remaining high school to drop out of their respective top 10 was Hebron Christian. The up and coming high school loss 49-14 to Athens Academy, and just could not stop 2020 running back Len’Neth Whitehead. Winder-Barrow, Clarke Central and Mt. Pisgah all enter the top 10 this week.
