Week 7 came quickly due to the hurricane, and even while stories were being written up, games were being played Wednesday night. There were some epic games like North Paulding vs Walton and Calhoun vs Cartersville – both getting TV appearances and not disappointing. But also, some games were rained out that would have played a major role in the rankings like Irwin County vs Swainsboro. And then there is tonight’s Monday night game of Appling County vs Pierce County where two of our top 5 teams in 2A face off. The schedule was all over the place but does look like good weather is on the horizon so hopefully no more postponements for the month of October.
