Week 8 Power Rankings

Biggest mover this week was Sandy Creek into our top 5 in 4-A with their huge 44-7 win over Troup. Sandy Creek is quickly looking like a title contender. Outside of that, there was not a ton of action in our rankings. Most teams held serve, but huge games are looming next week with most teams getting into the meat of region play now.

Now for the usual spiel: we have added a ‘Bubble’ section for teams just on the cusp of being in the Power Rankings and also an ‘Out’ to signify teams that have just recently been removed from the rankings.

All of your private schools are all around the Atlanta area minus one or two. Brookstone went and beat up on Christian Heritage last year in the playoffs and lost to North Cobb Christian by a field goal and they can’t see the bubble. Now we notoriously have problems with Marion County (public) and Manchester (public) who are both in our region but I’m sure most of the A Privates would. Why is the little school from Columbus being overlooked? Maybe next year when we play private schools only we’ll get the love we deserve.
