Will Rajecki
SR Sequoyah
Running Back

One of the marquee matchups of Week 5 was Sequoyah vs Sprayberry. Both programs ranked in the top 10. Both programs have had an impressive, undefeated start to the season. Both programs featured impact players, but it was Sequoyah’s senior running back, Will Rajecki, who made the difference once again. The SR rushed for 256 yards and seven touchdowns on 27 carries in a 63-20 win over Sprayberry. The Memphis commit has 898 rushing yards on the season and 16 touchdowns in 5 games, and Sequoyah vaults into the #4 spot in 5A.

Peyton Zachary
SR Carrollton
Wide Receiver

Peyton Zachary had nine receptions for 122 yards and also intercepted a pass that he returned 84 yards for a score. The SR helped with a decisive 43-21 win over Gainesville, which was the #2 team in 5A at the time. The UNLV WR commit was effective at moving the chains all night, especially in the 4th quarter, where the game remained tight 22-21 before Carrollton ultimately pulled away.

Ryan Maxwell
SOPH Houston Co.
Quarterback

The sophomore standout was 23-of-28 passing for 326 yards and five touchdowns in a convincing 57-14 win over Tift County. Another solid outing for the 6’1″ passer, who is quickly becoming really comfortable at the starting QB position, seemingly improving each week. Houston County is among the top teams in 5A, ranked #9, Maxwell has the offense humming.

Connor Langford
SR Cambridge
Quarterback

Langford had one of the best nights of Week 5 completing 27-of-34 passing for 374 yards and 6 touchdowns in a huge 52-42 win over the reigning 3A champs in Calhoun. Langford spread the football around, hitting both of his senior receivers, Dandridge and Cocchiara, for over 100 yards a pop. The 6′ 180 lbs. seems to be settling into his new surroundings at Cambridge, which could mean trouble for the rest of 4A.

Jackson Pirkle
2027 Cherokee Bluff
Running Back

Cherokee Bluff narrowly beat out Banks County 24-21, and junior running back Jackson Pirkle was a major reason why. The 5’8″, 180 lbs. rusher had 252 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 29 carries. Each touchdown from Pirkle came from a long, +40-yard score.

Garrison Edwards
SR Troup Co.
Quarterback

Garrison Edwards completed 12 out of 17 passes for 134 yards and 3 touchdowns while also rushing for 176 yards and 3 more scores in a 49-34 win over Mary Persons. Troup is undefeated on the year and ranked #10 in our 3A rankings. They are a program coming on strong, and with SR leaders like Edwards, Troup should be making a deep push into the playoffs this season.

Ethan Tisdale
JR Heard Co.
Quarterback

The Class A DI vs DII showdown lived up to the billing with Heard County winning 29-28 over Bowdon. Ethan Tisdale was efficient completing 7 out of 13 his passes for 117 yards, while also rushing for 75 yards on 16 carries. Tisdale scored all 4 of Heard County’s touchdowns, two in the fourth quarter, where Heard County trailed 28-17. While just over 200 yards of offense is not eye-popping, this game was a slugfest rivalry game where every possession mattered, and Tisdale’s clutch performance was key. Heard County remains undefeated on the year and is ranked #4 in our recent rankings.

Jamarious Luke
SR Jenkins Co.
Defensive Lineman

The senior defender was a terror on the field during Week 5 against ECI totaling 13 tackles and two sacks. Almost every one of those 13 stops happened around the line of scrimmage or behind it, which is insane production for a DL. Jenkins Co. lost 35-34 to ECI in one of Class A DII’s biggest matchups of the season thus far. Luke has been great to start the year. He is one of the toughest SRs in this recruiting class and the type of player who could be All-State by the end of the season.

Brysen Davies
SR Northgate
Linebacker

Perhaps the biggest surprise this season is Northgate’s undefeated start. They are now 4-0 on the year after beating Newnan 35-21 in Week 5, and SR linebacker Brysen Davies has been putting up video game-like numbers. The Marshall commit had 15 tackles, 10 solos, 1 tackle for loss, 1 int, and a 20-yard scoop and score that he took down the right sideline. What a great game for the senior.

Chance Ross
JR Monticello
Running Back

Monticello is playing big-time football this season, and JR Chance Ross provides a good explanation. The 6’1″ 225 lbs back had 164 rushing yards on 27 carries and 35 receiving yards in a 35-18 win over 3A’s Jackson. Monticello is now 4-0 on the year and on the bubble in our Class A DI rankings.
