Here are the Week 3 standouts from our weekend research. We have a brief write-up on each of the 11 athletes we selected, along with individual game footage from Hudl, when available.

Camauri Berry

Running Back
Berry makes another weekly list, this time for his great 209 all-purpose yard, three touchdown performance to help his team to a 34-33 win over Trinity Christian. Berry also had some key stops on defense, including a solo tackle at the one-yard line, holding Trinity Christian’s QB Ashton Clare from getting into the end zone. Spalding is 3-0 on the year and ranked on our website for the first time since 2023.
Jaden Upshaw
SR Lee County
Wide Receiver
In a night full of exciting games, the Sequoyah vs Lee County was chief among them. Lee County won 43-32, scoring 22 points in the final 2:30 minutes of the game. The star of the night was SR WR Jaden Upshaw, who had 11 receptions for 213 yards and two touchdowns, while also returning a punt 50 yards for the go-ahead score late in the 4th. The 4-star receiver is committed to Texas A&M.
Kamden Patterson
JR Baldwin
Quarterback
Baldwin is 3-0 to start the year after beating Class 2A’s #2 Dublin 20-14. JR Kamden Patterson threw for 208 yards, one touchdown, and had 41 yards rushing along with 7 tackles and a FF. An impressive line of production considering there were limited possessions and plays. The key play was a quick screen pass out to Justin Burton, who went 68 yards with 54 seconds left to break a 14-14 tie. Patterson has been a standout twice this season, and once more last year in a wild game against West Laurens. Baldwin moves up to #9 this week in our 4A ratings.
Donterrius Mincey
SR Toombs Co.
Running Back
Toombs County rolls to 3-0 behind the legs of Georgia State RB commit Donterrius Mincey. The explosive back scored all seven of his team’s touchdowns in a 49-21 win over Swainsboro – one of the best defensive teams in 2A. Mincey rushed for 225 yards on 29 carries and a total of 278 all-purpose yards on the night. No one has been able to stop the Toombs County rushing attack thus far this season.
Brody Fleming
SR Bleckley Co.
Quarterback
Last Friday, Fleming was on fire, completing 22 out of 29 passes for 344 yards and five touchdowns in a 35-7 beating of Jasper County. The senior, who broke the school’s single-season passing record in 2025, will go down in school history as one of the best to ever play. Right now, Bleckley County is on a roll, going 3-0 this year, and now moves up to #2 in 2A.
Bishop Dameron
SR Blessed Trinity
Linebacker
Blessed Trinity held Hebron Christian to a 38-0 shutout through 3 quarters of play, with the senior backer standing out. Dameron had 15 total tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, and 1 sack in the big win over Privates 2x reigning state champs. Blessed Trinity is unanimously ranked #2 in 5A this season. They have one of the best front 7s in the entire state of Georgia.
Rex Greene
JR Flowery Branch
Quarterback
Flowery Branch JR QB Rex Greene continues to tear up defenses, throwing for 362 passing yards and two touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown in a 28-21 win over Gilmer. Greene was accurate, connecting on 82% of his passes. Flowery Branch moves to 2-1 on the year and is on the bubble in our 5A rankings.
Seth Williams
SR Lakeside-Atlanta
Athlete
Lakeside-Atlanta’s senior do-it-all athlete has become a major problem on both sides of the football this season. The explosive senior had 232 receiving yards (eclipsing last season 10 game total) and three touchdowns while contributing 7 tackles and a fumble recovery in an 18-7 win over Midtown. The uncommitted 6’3″ 2027 prospect is among the most coveted players still available in the state of Georgia, and he just recently visited UGA over the weekend.
Zaden Waller
SR Montgomery Co.
Running Back
Montgomery County senior back rushed for 251 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 26-6 win over Lanier County. This is MoCo’s best start to the season since 2022, which was led by Cameron Wallace, who is now at Penn State (41 yards rushing in Week 1). Looks like Waller is another MoCo player who can break out this fall and get on colleges’ recruiting radar.
Danarri Brown
SR Jackson
Running Back
Jackson’s senior back had 419 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns, trying for the 2nd most points in a single game in state history in a wild 70-28 win over Union Grove. Brown was impressive, capitalizing on the great blocking and using his newly refined speed into the open field to break away from the defense over and over again.
JR Harris
SR Central
Quarterback
In a 56-49 losing effort against East Paulding (one of 6A hottest teams), JR Harris was spectacular. The senior had the best passing game in the state so far this season, throwing for 614 passing yards and 5 touchdowns; he even had 40 yards rushing for good measure. Harris, our Preseason Player of the Year in 5A, is currently committed to West Georgia. His creativity and ability to see the field, despite his size, are innate abilities that you cannot coach. Harris has that ‘it’ factor that reminds me of Stetson Bennett back when he was at Pierce County, who was voted our 2016 2A Player of the Year.
