Perry has been huge, throwing for 1639 and 14 touchdowns, keeping defenses off balance and spreading the ball around to his playmakers. The big matchup this upcoming week is for the region championship against Lowndes on Halloween Eve. The senior will need to have another big game.

JK Fruster
SR Rabun Co.
Running Back

Fruster battled Oglethorpe County for 204 yards on 23 carries and 4 touchdowns in a 35-6 win. The talented back stayed low to the ground, weaved around defenders, grabbing chunks of yardage. Kywan Phillips
SR Beach
Cornerback

One of the top defensive performances of the week goes to Beach senior DB Kywan Phillips. In a 31-14 win over Tattnall County, Phillips had 7 tackles, 1 pbu, 2 fumble recoveries, and 3 forced fumbles in a 31-14 win over Tattnall County. One of the forced fumbles Phillips recovered on his own, but amazingly, all four plays led to a turnover, completely changing the game. Beach has a good chance to finish 3rd place in the region.

Ryan Jung
JR Milton
Kicker

The big enchilada matchup between Gainesville and Milton lived up to the billing with a 47-yard field goal by Ryan Jung to take 49-46 with just 58 seconds remaining. The junior kicker also had a 50-yard field goal at the end of the first half, giving the Eagles 6 massive points. Jung, who committed to Michigan on June 20th, is considered by many to be the nation’s number 1 kicking prospect in the class of ’28.

D’Andre Hennix
SOPH Mays
Athlete

Sophomore D’Andre Hennix had three touchdowns and 126 yards in a big clutch performance to beat SW Dekalb 34-31. The Raiders were down 21-7, when Hennix caught his first of three touchdown passes in the 4th quarter of later. He scored another with 38 seconds remaining to tie the game 21-21, then in the 2nd overtime, Hennix caught his third touchdown to clinch the game, continuing Mays undefeated season at 8-0 with a huge Region 5 title matchup against Tucker on November 6th.

Kadence Giles
JR Forest Park
Athlete

Giles was spectacular with 212 all-purpose yards, 2 receiving touchdowns, and a pick-six on defense in a 41-32 win over Arabia Mountain. Forest Park was a 14-point underdog, but they prevailed against the odds, getting their first win of the season. The last win was on October 3rd 2025, so Giles’ performance was certainly able to stop a bad slump.

Caine Woods
JR Dalton

Woods went 18-24 for 228 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, and 13 carries for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 57-19 thrashing of Villa Rica. The Catamounts are now 7-1 on the year. The Florida commit has his team undefeated with a 7-0 record, and is just an Oglethorpe Co. and Rabun Co. win away from a region title and an undefeated regular season. Prince Avenue is ranked #1 in our Private rankings, with Beard playing at an All-State level, they look like a title contender this year.
