Amari Latimer
SR Sandy Creek
Running Back
In a game where Sandy Creek was down 21-20 through the 2nd quarter, SR RB Amari Latimer took the game over with 287 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns on just 19 carries. The 3A All-State athlete has been a ballin’ boy, rushing for 1321 yards and 26 touchdowns. Sandy Creek moves to 8-0 on the season and is ranked the #1 team in 3A. Latimer is the state’s #1 RB prospect and committed to Wisconsin, where his older brother, Giemere, currently plays. In recent months, there has been a lot of noise surrounding his recruitment with programs like Ohio State, and several more, trying to flip his pledge to the Badgers.
Hudson Chadwick
JR Calhoun
Running Back
Calhoun pulled away from Gilmer 49-22 thanks to several explosive plays from junior back Hudson Chadwick. The powerful back rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns, catching two passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. One reception was a 70-yard score late in the third quarter that provided a 35-16 lead, and then the junior rushed for an 80-yard score early in the fourth quarter to go up 41-22. Calhoun moves to 6-2 on the year, ranked the #3 team in our 3A polls, with its two losses coming from ranked 4A opponents Cartersville and Cambridge.
Tamari Curry
SR Westside-Augusta
Athlete
Westside takes down Harlem 14-7 in a huge 3A rivalry matchup that provides them a clear path to the region title. SR Tamari Curry was excellent, rushing for 187 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries, breaking up three passes and intercepting a pass where Harlem was threatening at the 7-yard line to tie the game with a few minutes remaining. Curry, a transfer from Washington-Wilkes, has been a revelation for Westside this season, proving that he is among the best two-way playmakers in 3A and a big-time sleeper athlete in the class of ’26.
Nate Davis
SR Rockmart
Athlete
The powerful athlete out of Rockmart rushed for 164 yards, three touchdowns on 19 carries, and caught a TD pass on offense while grabbing 12 tackles and 4 QB hurries in a 41-27 win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe. The All-State athlete is averaging 120 yards per game on the ground and has 955 yards rushing on the season and 60 solo tackles with 3 tackles for a loss on defense. Davis is the heart and soul of the Rockmart Yellow Jackets, who are the #5 team in 2A, and someone who seems to play his best football late in games.
Davis Strickland
SR Morgan Co.
Quarterback
Morgan County takes care of business against Jackson, 42-18, and it was SR QB Davis Strickland who caught fire, completing 25 consecutive passes. Strickland’s final stat line was 25-of-26 passing for 222 yards and four touchdowns. Morgan County is our #3 team in 2A and currently 8-0 on the season. Strickland was an All-State selection in 2024. He is playing incredible efficient football, completing 74.2% of his passes and has 22 touchdowns with just 1 interception on the year, giving Strickland one of the state’s best QBRs at 144.5. Strickland committed to West Georgia on September 18th.
Alvin Ricks
SR Wheeler Co.
Running Back
Wheeler County SR back Alvin Ricks rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries in a 35-7 win over Telfair County. They improved to 8-0 on the year, and currently ranked the #9 team in our Class A DII rankings. Ricks is a powerful running back whose production is almost unmatched over the last few seasons. Ricks has 4023 career rushing yards in 27 career games and has averaged 9.4 yards per carry and 40 total touchdowns. He is on track to be named All-State for the 2nd season in a row. The SR does a great job of getting yards after contact and is an extremely underrated runner in the class of ’26.
Austin Stinson
JR Houston Co.
Running Back
The JR Stinson was impressive with 142 yards rushing and a score on just 11 carries on top of 77 yards receiving, 6 receptions, and another score. Houston County beat Coffee 45-21, where they scored the game’s final 24 points, breaking away from a 21-21 tie in the third quarter. The JR has several explosive runs and looks like a real player in the class of ’27. Houston County remains undefeated on the year with a huge rivalry matchup upcoming against Thomas Co. Central this Friday night.
Mason Hollingsworth
SR Whitefield Acd.
Running Back
Whitefield Academy clinches the region championship against previously unbeaten Landmark Christian 24-19. SR running back Mason Hollingsworth rushed for 175 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries and caught three passes for 42 yards to help his team get the win. Whitefield Academy is 7-1 on the season and the #9 team in the Private ratings. The SR, who was named Player of the Week earlier this season after breaking the single-game Cobb County rushing record against Pacelli, is among the state leaders with 1662 rushing yards and is averaging 207.8 yards per game.
Colton Sanford
SR Adairsville
Athlete
Adairsville went into this matchup against NW Whitfield as a 21-point underdog, but don’t tell them the odds! They won 33-17, and senior athlete Colton Sanford was a huge reason why. The two-way athlete had 148 all-purpose yards, two receiving touchdowns, 7 tackles, and 2 pass breakups to help his team conclude the upset win. The Tigers are now 4-4 on the year, but jump into the #2 spot in region play with this key win over NW Whitfield.
Xavier Butler
SR Lithonia
Athlete
From all reports, Xavier Butler was unstoppable in last week’s 48-7 win over St. Pius. The senior had 8 carries for 161 yards and 3 touchdowns, plus 3 catches for 16 additional yards in a game where Lithonia was a 10-point underdog, but ultimately beat St. Pius for the first time in school history. In our preseason preview, Lithonia was our underdog pick in 4A, and they look on track to make the playoffs for the first time since 2021, and their 7 wins are the most since 1994. Butler, a South Gwinnett transfer, was a preseason All-State selection in 4A and among the most dynamic playmakers in the class of ’26. The SR is currently committed to Georgia State.

My vote is for Mason!!!
I wanted to vote for Xavier Butler but my teacher made me vote for Nate Davis.
