Week 1 Top Plays

In the video above we have selected 10 of the best plays we found from WEEK 1 in the state of Georgia. Most videos are courtesy of Hudl.com, Dennis Knight from Savannah Morning News, and Jonathan Perez from WMAZ. Each exciting play is an impressive combination of athleticism and football talent, but who deserves to walk away with the TOP Play of the weekend – that is for you to decide!

Voting stops 10 PM Monday and you can vote an unlimited amount of times (unfortunately). The winner will receive a featured article on our website, so cast your vote now, and let the best play win! NOTE: Okay, there seems to be an issue with the voting, and there really is NO LIMIT to voting evidently. Our voting software has been reliable every other year, but the latest update does not seem to combat bots or even uphold the 5 vote restriction. Sorry, will work to do a better job in the future.

Jaden Thomas deserves it most. He doesn’t come from a big school. He has 90 kids in his class. Let’s be real.

Jayden Thomas’s one handed catch was definitely ESPN worthy! That boy has skills! I’m just sayin….

  14. Let’s be real. When you think of a kid that has put in the work only Jayden Thomas comes to my mind.

    Joshua Edwards

  17. All are good plays. But the way I am deciding was based on individual effort. The runs all had blocks and missed tackles, the other one handed catch was good but it was uncontested…But Jayden Thomas was very well covered and had the ability to change his path to go get the ball. His body control was at pro level. That cant be taught. Oh yeah, and by the way, he is a Sophomore…..

  18. Reply Post By Anonymous

Jayden Thomas is only a sophomore, and playing on a team with a small roster and school. The pass was not great so he showed skill AND determination with that one handed catch!

    Jayden Thomas HANDS DOWN!

Reese #3 for Riverwood is an athletic talent that is rising to the top of the HS football scene. Seen a lot of Running backs and he is a real rock star on the field. He has the power and field vision that get those touch downs! We are going to see great things from this player.

Joshua Edwards hands down. Kids squats 600lbs. He will eat 7a up this year. Archer was ranked in the top 25 nationally and Milton will play nationally ranked #20 Cardinal Gibbons in weeks and he will have the same results. Milton is definitely RB U!!

Jayden Thomas hands down. He caught an overthrown ball w-1 hand, the body control he had & the height that he reached 2 catch that overthrown ball. I was @ that game on Friday & to see that was amazing! U will b seeing him play soon on the college level & then on Sundays n the NFL.
