Hudson Hulett
SR North Murray
Athlete

SR ATH Hudson Hulett rushed for 351 yards with 5 touchdowns, 102 passing yards, plus another score, and one catch for 72 yards. The All-State North Murray star totaled 525 total yards of offense and 6 total touchdowns, helping North Murray to a 49-42 win.

Jase Jordan
SR Houston Co.
Linebacker

Houston County’s SR Jase Jordan had 20 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for a loss, a PBU on defense, and then scored the game-winning touchdown with just 7 seconds remaining to beat Brookwood 31-24 in the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic. Jordan did an excellent job of reading the gaps and was constantly in the right place at the right time.

Grant Moore
SR Brunswick
Quarterback

SR Grant Moore from Brunswick threw for 394 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 44-35 loss to 6A’s #8 team Camden Co. The composure from the Brunswick star QB will be instrumental this year. We believe them to be among the most dangerous teams in 5A, which is why we picked them to be our ‘darkhorse’ title contender.

Jack Rhodes
SR Aquinas
Wide Receiver

Aquinas Jack Rhodes had 10 receptions for 228 yards and four touchdowns in a big 52-34 win over Athens Academy. The Virginia commit was a preseason All-State selection following his junior year, where he also made the team.

Bubba Taylor
SR Troup Co.
Linebacker

SR LB Bubba Taylor with 18 total tackles, 3 tackles for a loss in a 42-31 win over Villa Rica. Taylor had several huge tackles in space where you can see his explosiveness drive the ball carrier down. Very impactful hitter and will be worth watching this fall.

Cody Bryan
SR Heritage-Catoosa
Wide Receiver

Cody Bryan Heritage SR WR with 160 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns, and 70 yard fumble return for a score in a 51-13 win over Christian Heritage. Bryan is one of North Georgia’s most impressive two-way players. The All-State athlete has a natural feel for the game and shows legit top-end speed to burn a defense.

Tayshaun Franklin
SR Ware Co.
Running Back

Tayshaun Franklin rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns on six carries in a 55-7 win over Appling Co. The Bryant University commit has poured on the muscle this offseason, now up to 210 lbs., and is primed to be among the best runners in 4A.

Sergio Mason
SR Stephenson
Defensive Tackle

Sergio Mason had three sacks and five tackles for loss in a 24-0 win over Mays. They dominated on defense stopping Mays to -35 yards of offense. Mason was an All-State pick as a JR, and looks back, better than ever to start off the year. Amazing talent with just two years of football under his belt. No film from the game for now.

Victor Copeland
SR Fitzgerald
Athlete

Victor Copeland rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries 48-0 win over Irwin County. No one beats Irwin County by that kind of score, so this is a statement game for Copeland and Fitzgerald, who have a new head coach, Wes Tankersley, taking the helm. Copeland was a preseason All-State selection in Class A DI and one of the fastest guys uncommitted at the moment.

Havyn Searels
SOPH Dalton
Wide Receiver

Havyn Searels is a sophomore out of Dalton who totaled 229 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in a wild matchup against North Murray. The 6’5″ receiver did so on just 6 receptions, breaking the Dalton High School single-game receiving record. Over the weekend, he earned his first offer from Georgia Tech.
