Sheldon Evans, a class of 2017 running back for the Roswell Hornets, didn’t think his weekend could get much better after totaling 180 yards and two touchdowns and blowing out heralded South Georgia program Lowndes 35-8. But little did he know, it was about to.
On Saturday morning, Evans announced via Twitter that he had received his first offer from Georgia Southern.
Roswell’s back was surprised by the offer, admitting, “I really haven’t been talking to them.”
Obviously the Eagles coaching staff was impressed by Evans’ big night against the Vikings—even with little talk prior to Saturday morning’s offer.
Evans’ goals this season are big, and he has multiple Power 5 conference schools showing interest. He mentioned “Clemson, Nebraska and Mississippi State” as a few teams that are interested.
If Evans can continue to perform as well as he did last night, more offers are sure to start rolling in for the talented back from Roswell.
