Sleeper of the Day

Noble Butler
2025 Dunwoody
Defensive End

The 6’2″ 235 lbs. edge rusher has some impressive metrics, such as a 33.2″ vertical jump and a max squat at 535 lbs. Notably, the vertical jump has improved by 7″ in the last year, which indicates an improvement in explosiveness. That is eye-catching, but more importantly, does his film do the same? Looking at junior year, the 6’2″ Butler is a tweener defensive end, but shows a nice quick-first step and above-average arm length to get off blocks. Out of his stance, Butler is fast and has good pad level. He’s aggressive, showing good motor after the football. Several chase-down tackles from the backside. Great leg drive while engaged and getting nice leverage on the offensive lineman. The senior can bull rush, and looks strong at the point of attack, but would like to see quicker hands coming off blocks. Doesn’t show much with swim moves. That said, his energy and explosiveness are undeniable, and his frame suggests more length than your normal 6’2″ defensive end. Butler is around 235 lbs., and he might be around 260 at the college level. His motor truly is a shining aspect to his game, and although his senior film is just one game, Butler looks noticeably more athletic.

Commitments

Dayton Raiola
2026 Buford
Nebraska

Raiola follows his older brother, and pops, over to Nebraska. The junior has looked great for Buford spreading the football around and showing elite accuracy when passing in the red zone. Raiola has Buford as one of the top teams in the state and does a great job of spreading the football around the Wolves’ various playmakers.

Jeremia Collier
2026 Jonesboro
Cincinnati

The active hybrid linebacker flows to the football and creates havoc. At 6’2″, Collier has the length and agility to be extremely effective against the pass while having the speed to get downhill and disrupt the run. The early commit is great for the Bearcats; now time to hold on.

Jake Atha
2025 Prince Avenue
West Georgia

Atha has been in the OL rotation at Prince Avenue since his freshman year. The 2025 lineman is tough as nails, playing both ways for the state champions, and honestly, an underrated defensive tackle. Atha is a really solid prospect for West Georgia.

Three ‘n Out

Easterling was a sleeper of the day recently, but his senior year needs to be highlighted again. The do-it-all athlete has 847 all-purpose yards and 7 total touchdowns with some impressive film at defensive back including a pick-six. Easterling ran a top speed of 20.9 MPH last weekend, the game before 21.43, and the times continue each week bouncing between 21-22 MPH. Point being, Easterling is almost always the fastest athlete on the field, and his production so far will put him in consideration for All-State. He remains an under-the-radar recruit that D1 programs need to reconsider.

Sophomore standout Jayce Johnson has been rock solid to start the 2024 season. Lowndes is 5-0, and among the top teams in the state while the young passer has a total of 700 yards and 9 touchdowns. At 6’4″ and 205 lbs., Johnson showcases some impressive arm talent and looks extremely elusive moving around the pocket. Johnson is a likely FBS prospect and someone to monitor as a passer over the next 12 months. Considering his athleticism and size, you would expect to see Lowndes ‘unleash’ Johnson’s running as we enter region play.

JR Harris had another great game in a blowout 70-6 win over Mundy’s Mill. In perhaps his most efficient game to date, Harris had 305 total yards completing 9 of 10 passes for 241 yards and 4 touchdowns. Central’s head coach, Umbrah Brown, makes a great point in comparing the talented sophomore passer to Tommy Castellanos. There is an uncanny similarity to their playstyles, and Harris’ impact as an underclassman has been equal to Castellanos’ first few years at Ware County. Some guys just see the field better, even spotting the opposition a few inches, and Harris has that ability to exploit defenses at a P4 level.
