Recruiting Recap 9/14

Welcome to another tardy edition of the Recruiting Recap! I know that it’s been a bad trend lately with the later in the day submissions, so starting tomorrow we are coming back in the AM with all of the recruiting news you want.

So here is another quick recap of the recap. Here we tally up all of the offers from yesterday, in this case last weekend, commitments if there were any, and a sleeper of the day. If a player is heating up, then we will also add that in with a quick write-up on the athlete.

Outside of that, we are working a lot in the background over here. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. Please email at recruitgeorgia1@gmail.com or send a DM on Twitter if you want to contact. – David

Sleeper of the Day

Braylan Jowers
2021 Taylor Co.

Jowers has a wiry frame but can eat up yardage with his long running stride. He had a pretty big season as a junior playing both ways at WR and CB. Legit length and very quick changing directions. I would like to see him more in man coverage as it looks like Taylor was in zone a lot, and no camps this offseason really to see any changes. Very good ball skills tho, has strong hands going up and taking the ball away from the receiver in some cases. Very underrated player right now. Tackling needs to improve, but at 6’2″ and 165 lbs., he will continue to fill out his frame nicely and surely get better at tackling. Like how his game will transition over to college, he will need a good bit time in the weight room and probably RS, but Jowers has some legit D1 upside. As of now Austin Peay and Army have expressed a good bit of recruiting interest in the 2021 recruit. Watch out for him this fall, he could be in store for another nice progression in his game.
