Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! Well, yesterday was the lowest offer day yet, and it honestly feels more like the dead period than ever before. We have had several programs reach out about 2022 recruiting classes too, so that might be an indicator where a lot of FBS programs heads are at. Still, I think we will see a huge surge in college offers the first few weeks of the football season, so every senior athlete needs to be preparing for this fall like it’s their final tryout to play college football.
We will continue to tally up the offers and commitments each day. Unless we see a legit trend in players heating up, we are going to hold off that feature. That’s not a feature I want to force when it is not applicable. Sleeper of the day will continue of course, and I’ll try to figure out something new to keep things fresh for these recaps.
Outside of that, we got individual stories and profiles posting each night, so be sure to check back and see the latest on Recruit Georgia! Oh yeah, stay safe and WEAR A MASK!

Sleeper of the Day
Stratton Tripp
2021 Cartersville
Tripp transferred to Cartersville after starting the entire year at Cambridge as a sophomore, so he sat behind a senior back in 2019, and doesn’t have a ton of film. Still, some good footage of him training this fall. Tripp is a decent dual threat QB. He gets up field with urgency, has pretty good acceleration. More of a good runner with good vision than really using pure speed to get around defenders. Mechanics are solid, sometime he does throw off his back foot, but that seems to be improving with these off the field videos. Can zip the pass down the middle, pretty good from intermediate range. Interesting release slot, looks to be 3/4 in his sophomore/junior film, but once again, the offseason videos show a more over the top release. Follows through and does a nice job of reading the defense. We have big expectations for Tripp this fall at Carsterville, and he should really jump on colleges’ recruiting boards.
