Recruiting Recap 7/10

Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! I hope everyone is ready for the weekend, I know we are over here at RG!

As usual, we are here to cover all the offers that occurred in the state yesterday to go along with any commitments that have happened recently. We are still holding off from the three heating up feature. If you have another idea for this feature shoot over a message or comment down below your idea and we will try it out. Of course, down at the bottom we also have our sleeper of the day, so be sure to read our write-up and watch the athlete’s film.

Be sure to keep an eye out for future stories and new profiles being posted every day. College coaches, be sure to contact recruitgeorgia1@gmail.com if you want additional info on the state of Georgia.

Sleeper of the Day

Gavin Tatum
2021 Allatoona

Definitely a big fan of Tatum’s motor and how well he uses his hands. He has very reactive feet to the defender, and in large part his excellent quickness helps him block. He does a great job of getting out his stance and knocks the defender off the ball before he can react. You can see that Tatum was a huge equation to their success last fall. He doesn’t weigh hardly anything, at least for an OL, and I would definitely be tracking his weight gain over the next year. Since last fall he is up about 10 lbs. Also, needs more work in pass blocking, his kick-step especially needs to become more concise. You can see that run blocking is best skill at this point. Very impressive pulling guard tho. Keeps a really flat back while engaged and generates a lot of power. Tatum has a handful of offers, but we believe he needs more looks from FCS & DII programs. He should continue to fill out his frame and be over 280 at the college level. He’s a great student too with a 4.35 GPA.
