Heating Up
Cole Spence
2022 Mt. Pisgah
Cole Spence has been heating up for a few months now, and he is quickly approaching 20 offers. The 2022 recruit’s stock continues to rise among this extremely talented TE class. Indiana and Vanderbilt were his first P5 offers, and that kicked off the month with several more D1 programs sprinkled in between, but P5 interest seems to be mounting at this point. Spence caught over 400 yards last year and at 6’6″ and 225 lbs. he is a huge target in the redzone. Just watching his route running, and there is already a significant jump since last fall. A lot of stars are lining up for Spence, and he certainly looks like the next TE in the state to load up on P5 offers – stay tuned!
Sleeper of the Day
Devon Farmer
Devon Farmer Jr.
2022 Campbell
The 6’2″ 280 lbs. defensive lineman has a fluid moving body who can change directions well for his size. He is fairly strong, still needs to have more impact with his hands at the point of attack, but overall he carries his weight well. Good leg drive. Farmer hits. No joke, when the 2022 defensive tackle makes contact, the ball carrier goes down quickly. He does a solid job of coming in from backside pursuit and cleaning up tackles. Farmer is a two-way player getting reps at center too. There is not a ton of blocks on film, but he does get solid leverage and drive on the defender. Overall, Farmer has D1 athleticism and just a tad bit undersized. His production was solid, but could definitely seen an uptick his senior year. Farmer is the type of player you can see blow up during the May evaluation period and summer camps.
