Sleeper of the Day
Spears Martin
2025 North Cobb Christian
Linebacker
The North Cobb Christian linebacker has produced some big games this season. Martin has good anticipation and times his blitz into the gaps well. On top of having good acceleration, the senior can knife into the backfield and create a lot of negative plays. Martin does a nice job of keeping his pads parallel to the LOS. Generally good at tracking the football while showing solid agility in changing directions. The senior plays with good intensity, pursuing after the ball carrier. Doesn’t get stuck on blocks, but rather uses his agility to get around blockers. As a tackler, he does well meeting the ball carrier low and driving his legs. Keeping consistent with his strike level will be an area of focus at the next level. Martin has a solid frame at 6′ and 210 lbs., and with a reported 33″ vertical jump, the senior poses some good upside at the next level for local programs to jump on board. Martin has a 3.65 GPA too, and solid test scores, on top of being one of the most productive players in his region the last two seasons. Martin is also a big-time baseball player winning multiple state titles.

Norcross senior Ezekiel Theodoris was recognized as a finalist for the Atlanta Falcon’s Georgia High School Man of the Year award. He was honored last weekend during the Falcons game. Theodoris is a linebacker we highlighted recently on the site, an underrated defender who flies to the football. Theodoris has a 3.6 GPA and has recently visited Carson-Newman and ETSU.
@AtlantaFalcons Thank you for the opportunity and Recognition for my Accomplishments. This is not taken lightly or for granted!! @RecruitGeorgia @Norcross_FB @CoachMoore313 @CoachJohnson52 @CoachTreLamb9 https://t.co/a9tfnje4iv

Northgate’s Braxtyn and Brysen Davies have combined for 254 tackles this year. The brothers are a year apart with Braxtyn being a senior and Brysen a junior. Both are multi-year starters who have been impact players for Northgate for some time, and this kind of production from the brothers is remarkable.
Most TACKLES by a #Linebacker Duo in this regular season in all @OfficialGHSA #Georgia

Temple’s CJ Gray was named Region Offensive Player of the Year. The senior had another 1k-yard rushing season with 1132 yards and 13 touchdowns. The 8-2 Tigers finished 2nd in the region, and figure to be a tough out come playoff time, which we are still in a holding pattern until after this weekend’s games. The impact senior’s numbers speak for themselves, and he even ran a 22.3 MPH top speed this season, proving he is an explosive player who can hit the 2nd level and do damage.
Congratulations to Senior @CJGray03_ on being selected the 2024 1A Region 6 Offensive of the Year!!! CJ carried the ball 140 times for 1,132 Rushing Yards & had 13 TD’s which was an average of 8.1 per carry. He also caught 9 passes for 75 yds. Go Tigers! #TigerPride pic.twitter.com/tkFR4BjQpA
