Commitments

Corey Robinson
2021 Roswell
Kansas

Scoop: Mr. Robinson is a good looking OT prospect that we lauded as a P5 recruit dating back to a year ago, and with Kansas coming in with an offer, the 2021 recruit was ready. He has a near 7′ wingspan, pretty quick feet while engaged and a strong core of fundamentals to work with. Robinson will definitely make an impact for the Jayhawks, and we love his versatility to play multiple spots on the OL.

Andrew Blackford
2021 Lanier
Virginia Military

Scoop: At the start of November VMI jumped into Blackford’s recruitment after waiting throughout the process to play at a high level. He has a strong arm with a slightly unorthodox 3/4 release. Throws a very catchable pass and is excellent at leading the receiver. We really like his command in the pocket and footwork he shows maneuvering around the pocket while keeping his eyes upfield.

Sleeper of the Day

Jerrod Woods
2021 Lee Co.

Woods is up to 205 after being 185 last year at his VA high school. He might have beeen 185 last year, but dang the 2021 recruit plays like a wild-guy out there on the field. He hits with authority, and I really like how he runs the football with a springy yet powerful running stride that allows him to step out of tackles. That said – he is a better fit at linebacker. The Lee County staff seems to think so, and senior film is holding up to that projection. Woods straight-line speed is good for the linebacker spot. He shows good explosiveness coming out his cuts and plays the game with relentless intensity. Woods is just a hitter plain and simple – he dishes out contact like a lunch buffet serves hot wings. Woods is looking explosive at linebacker, he plays with good instincts and has above-average acceleration. He has good flexibility and shows just an explosive play style. It’s the brutal hits and intensity he plays with coming between the gaps that makes him such an enticing prospect, and if he continues to add weight like he did over the last year, then Woods should be around 225 at the college level.
