Sleeper of the Day
Marquis Bush
2025 Jenkins
Defensive Back
Bush is one of the shorter DBs that colleges should not only consider but just throw away said measurements when recruiting. Bush is around 5’9″ but plays much bigger than his suggested metrics. He flows to the football and is an efficient tackler. Bush approaches his tackles like a heat-seeking missile without losing speed, getting low, and taking the ball carrier out low. Bush is good at reading the play and consistently gets a great jump at the snap, so he is often in the right position to make an interception or assist against the run. Bush is a good student with a 3.7 GPA and an All-Region performer who has a chance to be All-State senior year. His high IQ for the game and his excellent academics would have made Bush a great candidate for a PWO but that is somewhat uncertain with the NCAA now. Bush should still be a prospect to consider strongly; he’s the type of football player who will outperform expectations. His SR film is cut up to individual games, so we have attached his JR year, where Jenkins was a surprise team in the 5A playoffs.

Three ‘n Out
Grayson freshman earned a trio of FBS offers at the end of last week with Texas, Duke, and South Florida on Friday. Then another offer came in Sunday with Georgia Southern. We didn’t see much on his Hudl, but did notice some explosive basketball highlights for a freshman, with several nice blocks and putbacks. Then Grayson drops this post in the AM saying Tillman is 6’6″ 220 lbs. and recently ran a 19.95 MPH in-game. What’s even more impressive, but that work ethic in the low posts translates over to great pursuit, and honestly, Tillman looks to be another big-time defensive end prospect in this class of ’28. This position is stacked with elite talent in the state.

Griffin was the first prospect we covered in the class of ’25, so we try to keep up with the elite defensive lineman’s recruitment throughout the process, and he has a big visit to UGA this weekend. Griffin is our #1 prospect in this recruiting class. His athleticism, frame, and production are at a level no other defensive lineman has been able to match over the last 4 years. That won’t change at the college level or beyond. My gut says his recruitment comes down between USC and UGA.
I will be taking my Official Visit to UGA this weekend on the 12th!!🐶🐶@KirbySmartUGA @GeorgiaFootball @TravionScott

Going to use my tweet here highlighting six guys from Georgia who made the On3 Sports Midseason Freshman All-American list. What I find most notable is that three of the five offensive linemen are from the state, which is always one of the toughest to recruit. All three players were All-State; Banfield made it two times, in fact, and was also named Gwinnett County OL of the Year. Just more proof that your regular old three-star recruits are some of the best blockers in their class.

Raiola – Buford
Knapp – Roswell
Banfield – Mill Creek

Brown – Jefferson
