Recruiting Recap 10/8

Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! Thanks for stopping by, and if you are new here, this is a feature where we cover all of the offers over the last 24 hours and whatever decommittments or commitments that might occur as well. We got caught up doing a few new features this week, so have missed a few recaps so multiple days will be included. And of course, our sleeper of the day will be down at the bottom, so kick back, and get ready to see all of the recruiting action across the state of Georgia this week – at least what we can find!

Sleeper of the Day

Reggie Givhan
2022 North Cobb

Givhan has become a large part of the North Cobb passing attack his senior year taking several short passes from the slot and housing them. He has deceptive speed, and every time I think he has topped out he hits another gear 10-20 yards further downfield. That sort of long-distance sprinting puts defenders in terrible pursuit angles. Givhan is very quickly changing directions and watching him fly out of a break on short passes, he is very tough to guard in these situations. Givhan is extremely elusive as well showing very fluid hips changing directions and losing little speed. He has above-average balance, and though he only weighs 170 lbs., there are a fair amount of broken tackles. He’s still slight, and 170 lbs., but Givhan is not afraid of the big hit or dishing one out either when blocking. At the next level, you got to look at the 2022 prospect as a good short-yardage pass-catcher in the slot who can explode upfield after the catch but also someone you run deep down the seam too. Givhan was a defensive back last year at Hillgrove, so his emergence at receiver this fall is certainly something to continue to follow.
