Sleeper of the Day

Jerome Brown
2025 Long Co.
Offensive Guard

Brown has been an impactful blocker for the run-heavy Long County for years. The senior stands just under 6’2″ and weighs around 280 lbs. but what he shows on film, Brown seems to have great length, getting good leverage underneath the defender’s pads. Couple that with his consistent hand placement, and he does a lot of good stuff up top. Brown has a strong lower base, driving defenders out of the play. He hustles downfield, getting to the 2nd level to make key blocks. Brown is the type of player who goes 100% on each play. The senior is a good athlete. Functional body composition with a flatback and flexible hips, making for a fairly explosive athlete, especially for an OL. You can see the wrestling background really shine here. Really good pad level while engaged. He is in a run-heavy system, so you aren’t going to see a lot of pass blocking film. That said, he shows pretty quick feet and his powerful base plus length can stand up pass rushers. Moving over to IOL should be a beneficial switch at the next level, and you can see Brown pulling across the LOS knocking defenders out of the way. The senior is definitely underrated and should be getting more D1 attention.

Three ‘n Out

Lowndes SR Marvis Parrish just crossed 1000 all-purpose yards and 21 total touchdowns on the season. We covered Marvis Parrish earlier this season after he made a great touchdown run where his teammates pushed the pile almost 40 yards downfield, then he broke free for a touchdown. Parrish is a versatile playmaker who switched from full-time QB starter to being a jack-of-all-trades for the Vikings. Parrish has incredible balance and great top-end acceleration. Lowndes is in our top 15 teams in the GHSA, and figures to be a major player in the 6A playoffs.

Morgan County’s Jaylen Elder continues his great season with 186 yards and 3 touchdowns. That solidifies his #1 lead in the state with 1321 yards and he is currently #7 in the country. Elder continues to prove to be one of the top playmakers in the state, and the recruiting buzz might become a roar come next month.

Anthony Kruah flipped from UNC to UGA over the weekend, but honestly, the recent highlight reel against Cherokee where Kruah was playing offense caught our eye. The elite OLB prospect has been a consistent defensive standout in his recruiting class, but watching the 6’2″ 215 lbs. prospect break off runs and bulldoze defenders demonstrates his incredible athleticism. Kruah is one of the best athletes in his class and will be a standout for UGA.
