Sleeper of the Day

Scooter Tanner
2021 Temple

At 6’1″ 175 lbs., Tanner has provided Temple with a lot of looks throughout the years, even playing some QB as a junior. Senior year, he is flexed out at skill positions, and so far through 5 games he has 173 yards rushing and 16 catches for 226 as well. He does line up pretty much everywhere for the Tigers, even playing some DB. Tanner has a good body composition to play DB honestly, his long athletic frame covers ground well, and has the length to pose a large pass breakup radius. Tanner is a fluid athlete, we remember watching some of his junior film and being impressed with his open field speed. That sort of athleticism and length gives him a big advantage, but oddly enough not a lot of colleges have given him looks, and currently Tanner doesn’t not have a offer. Personally, we like Tanner’s upside at CB, and with a little more time working on technique, he could be a good lockdown CB at the next level.
