What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

GACA All-Star, 86 tackles in 8 games

The powerful MLB for White County had just under 100 tackles his junior year. He is quick to the football, and shoots the gaps. When he gets to the ball carrier, he does a solid job of getting the ball carrier down quickly. Drives his legs through the attempt, but tends to tackle too high. McMullen could stand to work on dropping his hips and getting lower on his tackle attempts. He has good strength, which helps get the ball carrier down, but fundamentals need to take another step. He’s a pretty agile athlete who can get around blockers well. Doesn’t use hands much to get off blocks. Definitely one of the best athletes at the school, he even plays some RB. McMullen has some solid upside for sure, but needs to take a jump in explosiveness to go along with tackling technique. He does show pretty good lateral quickness, so could be good in coverage, but not a lot of film outside of him in run support.
