Burton is a very agile linebacker prospect who quickly reacts to the play then uses his quickness to get around blocks to make the tackle. He is a big hitter and has the frame to another 25 pounds. He has the potential to play any of the linebacker spots at the next level, in fact he does a great job of setting the edge, and just seems to have great run-stopping instincts. Burton is very powerful, and his weight lifting #’s translate over to the field where you see him make thunderous tackles. When Burton makes contact with the ball carrier they typically stop any forward progress, which we like a lot. Burton can certainly play Div 1 football at the next level, especially as a SAM. FCS schools should be all over him no-doubt.
