Ward is licking his chops to get his time on the field, and this spring will certainly play a factor in it. Finding a way with the talented wide receivers at Peach is no easy task, and heading into the 2019 season Ward is looking to make an impact at the inside slot role where his size going over the middle will pick up nice chunks of yardage. Considering his size, his 4.26 shuttle time is really impressive and shows that Ward has good upside as a route runner. He is a physical blocker and will come across the field to lay the wood. Staying consistent, being coachable will make the biggest difference in his production for the 2019 season. Ward has all the upside at 6’3″ and a few more months in the weight room should be well over 200 lbs too. Continuing to work on his route running should be a major focal point for Ward – with his agility he could be very tough to stop on short routes.
